PROGRAM OVERVIEWWater Wanderings is an overnight summer camp on the Green River Reservoir in Hyde Park Vermont. We develop resilience and integrity through environmental education that integrates themes of environmental justice, equity and inclusion.
The Green River Reservoir and surrounding forests serve as our home, playground and classroom, where campers learn about environmental justice, canoeing, and camping. We engage in games and activities that build community within each small, unique group of campers and instructors.
Campers sleep in tents, cook over the fire, and enjoy the simplicity of living outdoors without running water, electricity or buildings of any kind. During the day, we swim, hike, and canoe, learning and growing together. |
