Many hands make light work, and though Water Wanderings is a small organization, its impact has wide ripples. The campers who attend are supported by a network of people who believe in our mission and vision. They contribute in all kinds of ways, just as campers do, from lending Water Wanderings gear, to making cash donations, to serving on our board, to writing reviews and giving constructive feedback, everyone plays an important role in nurturing the future of Water Wanderings.
In June 2020, Water Wanderings officially became a nonprofit, opening the door to tax-exempt status, tax-deductible donations, new grant opportunities, and the support of a board to help Water Wanderings become financially and organizationally sustainable. Up until this point, Water Wanderings was run as a sole-proprietorship on a shoestring budget and a whole lot of love.
We will continue to be creative and resourceful, and at the same time, we recognize that we need to diversify our revenue streams to continue making Water Wanderings accessible while also maturing into a financially sound operation. Thank you for helping to make Water Wanderings possible for the next generation of campers!
